Press the EJECT button to open the Cassette Holder.
Place a cassette
into the Cassette
Holder with the desired
side up.
Close the holder.
@ Avoid touching the exposed tape.
@ Make
sure that the portion
of the tape to be played
is
wound onto the left reel.
If not, depress the <€ button
to
rewind
the tape onto the left reel.
. Set the TAPE SELECT switch to either CrO2 or NORMAL accord-
ing to the type of the tape used.
CrO2:
for chromium
dioxide cassettes
NORMAL:
for ordinary cassettes including Sony HF cassettes
. Depress the » button.
Playback will begin.
. To increase the volume,
turn the VOLUME
control toward MAX.
To decrease,
turn
it toward
MIN.
Adjust the tone quality with the TONE control.
Turn toward
HIGH
for more
treble, or LOW
for less treble.
. To stop the tape motion, press the Mf button.
@At
end-of-tape,
the tape motion stops automatically and the
locked
button
is released.
For private
listening
Plug the supplied earphone into the MONITOR on
The speaker
is automatically
disconnected.
Adjust the sound
volume
and
tone quality.
