Wiring Installation
NOTE: We recommend the use of outdoor-suitable connectors (silicone-filled wire connectors, dielectric grease,
etc.) on the power-in connections to the control module to prevent corrosion.
Position the VF fire pit so that
you have access to the
components underneath the
base plate. Remove the (4) 1/4"
screws that secure the cover to
the electrical box (set the
screws and the cover aside for
reinstallation).
Route the wires from the 24VAC
transformer through the strain
relief at the bottom of the
electrical box When there is
approximately 3" (77mm) of the
low voltage wire in the box,
tighten the strain relief to secure
the wire.
NOTE: Use listed low voltage wiring.
Make sure to provide slack in
the electrical line for removal
and service.
Use wire nuts to connect the
wires from the 24VAC
transformer to the yellow and
the yellow/white striped wires on
the control module (polarity
does not matter for this
connection). When the
connections are secure, coil the
wires and push them back into
the electrical box.
Replace the cover and screws
removed in the first step.
