This function divides the tracks on a disc
between the two sides of a tape in their
original order in accordance with the length
of the tape.

Prepare the cassette deck.
1. Wind the leader and insert the tape.
2. Select noise reduction.
3. (Double-side playback deck only)
Set a reverse mode (O). and set
the running direction of the tape to
►.
If the cassette deck has no SYN¬
CHRO EDIT terminal, set a reverse
mode to single side playback (^).
4. Set the cassette deck to recording
standby mode.
(For details, refer to the operating
instructions for the cassette deck.)

Press TAPE LENGTH to specify
the tape length and divide the
tracks.
Each time the button is pressed, the
tape length changes as illustrated.
•To select an arbitrary recording length, see
page 32.
•To add tracks in the extra space on the
tape, see page 32.
•To check the edit contents for side B or
make changes, press SIDE A/B.

Press PEAK SEARCH to search
for the peak level on the disc,
and adjust the recording level
on the cassette deck.
Searching for the peak level takes about 2
rrilnutes and 30 seconds for a 60 minute CD.
When the peak level is found, the unit re¬
peatedly produces the sound for about 6
seconds around the peak level.
Regarding the recording level adjustment
procedure, refer to the operating instructions
for the cassette deck.

Press ■ STOP.

Press ► PLAY.
Recording on the cassette deck will start at
the same time.
If the cassette deck is set to the auto-reverse
mode, recording on tape side B wilt be auto¬
matically made.
When recording on tape side B has finished,
the CD player will automatically stop and the
cassette deck wifi switch to recording
standby mode.
•If the cassette deck has no SYNCHRO
EDIT terminal, see page 32.
To cancsl CD edit mode:
Press ■ STOP.

duracibn de la cinta, para asignarlas a los
dos lados de la cinta.

1. Bobine la cinta gufa e inserte la
cinta.
2. Seleccione la reduccibn de ruidos

Ajuste un modo de inversibn (O).
y ajuste la direccibn de movimiento
de la cinta a ►.
Si la piatina no tiene terminal
SYNCHRO EDIT, ajuste un modo
de inversibn para un solo sentido
4. Ponga la piatina en el modo de es-
pera de grabacibn.

Pulse TAPE LENGTH para as-
peciffcar la duracibn de la cinta
y dividlr las melodias.
Cada vez que pulse el botbn, la
duracibn de la cinta cambist tal como
se muestra en la ilustracibn.
•Para seleccionar una duracibn de graba¬
cibn arbitraria, consulte la pbgina 32.
•Para afiadir melodias en el espaclo extra
de la cinta, consulte la pdgina 33.
•Para comprobar el contenido editado para
el lado B o para hacer cambios, pulse
SIDE A/B.

Pulse PEAK SEARCH para bus-
car el nlvel de cresta del disco, y
ajuste el nivel de grabacibn de
la piatina.
En un disco compacto de 60 minutos, la
bbsqueda
del
nivel
de
cresta
tarda
2 minutos y 30 segundos aproximada-
mente. Cuando se encuentre el nivel de
cresta,
la unidad product el sonido
prbximo al nivel de cresta durante unos
6 segundos.
