Setting the LCD Contrast
You can adjust the LCD contrast for a sharper and more vivid
display. If you are having difficulty reading the LCD from your
position, try changing the contrast setting for improved viewing.
1 Press Menu/Set, 1,7.

Setting the Tray Use for Copy mode
(MFC-5840CN only)
The MFC uses the paper in Tray#1 first. You can change the default
tray that will be used for copying.
1 Press Menu/Set, 1,8.

Press • or • to select Tray#1
Only,
Tray#2 Only, OrAuto Select.
Press Menu/Set.

If both trays are using paper that is the same type and size,
Auto SelecL will allow your MFC to take paper from Tray#2
if Tray#1 is out of paper.
You can only use plain paper sizes Letter, Legal or A4 in
Tray#2.
