Machine Controls and Indicators
System Distress
The light indicates that the JLG Control System has detected an abnormal condition and a
Diagnostic Trouble Code has been set in the system memory. Refer to the Service Manual for
instructions concerning the trouble codes and trouble code retrieval.
Tilt Warning Light and Alarm
This red illuminator indicates that the chassis is on a slope. If the boom is above horizontal and
the machine is on a slope, the tilt alarm warning light will illuminate, an alarm will sound,
available functions are placed in Creep speed, and drive is cut out in direction of travel. Drive in
the opposite direction may be allowed under certain conditions.
Note: When the tilt sensor alarm is activated, the Drive function will be disabled if the boom
is elevated above horizontal.
If tilt warning light is illuminated when boom is raised or extended, retract and
lower to below horizontal then reposition machine so that it is within the limits of
the maximum operating slope before extending boom or raising boom above
horizontal.
