MOTOR REPLACEMENT/SEAL
REPLACEMENT:
After an extended period of service it may
become necessary to replace a failed motor or seal.
The procedures for making these repairs are
nearly identical. Disconnect the power supply to
the pump and slide out the rear assembly as
described under rear assembly replacement, then
follow the step-by-step instructions below.

The seal assembly consists
of two parts, each with a spe-
cially polished face. Handle

INSTALL NEW MOTOR
Attach the motor to the seal
plate using four cap screws.
IMPORTANT: The seal plate must
be positioned so that one diffuser
mounting hole is in the 12 o'clock
position and the marking on the
motor side of the seal plate is in
the "Up" position.
INSTALL NEW SEAT
Clean polished ceramic surface of
seal seat, sea! cavity and motor
shaft using soapy water. Firmly
press Seal seat all the way into the
seal cavity. CAUTION: DO NOT

INSTALL DIFFUSER
Assemble the diffuser to the seal
plate using the No. 8 screws.
