Function check

Before commissioning the measuring device:

Make sure that the post-installation and post-connection checks have been performed.

Switching on the measuring device

‣
After a successful function check, switch on the measuring device.
 After a successful startup, the local display switches automatically from the startup
display to the operational display.
If nothing appears on the local display or a diagnostic message is displayed, refer to
the section on "Diagnostics and troubleshooting" →  152.

Configuring the device address via software

In the "Communication" submenu the device address can be set.
Navigation
"Setup" menu → Communication → Device address

PROFIBUS network

At time of delivery, the measuring device has the following factory setting:
Device address 126
• To display the current device address: Device address parameter →  93
• If hardware addressing is active, software addressing is blocked →  43

Setting the operating language

Factory setting: English or ordered local language
