Installing the Battery
1. Set the boat on the included display stand.
2. Lift up on the front of the battery cover hatch using the simulated
ski pole
3. Slide the battery cover hatch toward the rear of the boat to open it.
4. Remove the SSL tray from the battery base.
5. Install the recommended, fully charged battery into the SSL tray
and secure it using the included two hook and loop straps.
6. Place the SSL tray into the battery base, and slide it forward to
lock the battery and SSL tray into place.
Range Check
IMPORTANT: Perform a range check at the beginning of each
boating session, after repair or after installation of a new battery.
Ensure that the battery is fully charged.
1. With the radio system powered on and connected, walk away from
your boat 90 feet (32 m).
Powering On the Boat
1. Power ON the transmitter.
2. Connect the battery lead to the IC5 connector in the boat.
3. Power ON the receiver by sliding the receiver switch to ON.
4. Reinstall the hatch.
5. With the boat still on the display stand, test the transmitter control
of the boat and complete a range check of the controls.

2. Have an assistant remain with the boat to check for proper
control movement of the steering mechanism in response to your
transmitter input.
3. If everything appears to be operating correctly, prepare to operate
the boat in the water.
