The low point temperature thermostat, in addition to shutting down
the burner should the fuel temperature fall below the critical value for
correct combustion, gives a consent signal for burner start-up. (Factory
set at approximately 80°C, adjustable by removing the pre-heater cov-
er and its plate).
The high point temperature thermostat switches off the resistances
when, due to an adjustment thermostat failure, the temperature of the
pre-heater increases to unacceptable levels; a "high temperature"
alarm indication is detected by the burner terminal strip. (Factory set at
approximately 180°C).
Replacing the low and high point temperature thermostats.
Replace the probe of the new thermostat, after the loosening of the fix-
ing screws of the plates pack, taking care of good contact between the
probe and the tubes and the resistance, see drawing. The same pre-
cautions should be taken when renewing the resistances in contact
with the thermostat probes. If the pre-heater should malfunction, use
an ohmmeter to check that the resistances located in contact with the
temperature probes are not burnt out (reading of approximately
35 Ohm).
Replacing the PT 100 probe in the oil delivery manifold.
Fit the supplied nut and biconical collar on the new thermistor, insert it
about 40 mm into the manifold fitting, and secure it firmly into place. At
this point, the section remaining outside the manifold can be bent as
required, with no risk of damaging the thermistor.
5.2.7 IGNITION PILOT FLAME ADJUSTMENT
Check the ignition electrode for correct position as shown in figure 16.
The gas suction train to the pilot flame must comply with the regula-
tions in force in the country where the burner is installed.
Following provisions of EN676 Standard on LPG gas burners, there
should be 2 "Type B" gas valves and a pressure regulator.
The chart below shows a maximum configuration including:
VR + VS Safety valve
PG
Minimum gas pressure switch
PCV
Low pressure regulator (supplied with the burner)
CF
Filter
C
Vibration damping joint
For correct ignition pilot flame operation, adjust gas pressure measured at
the intake in the valve between 30 and 50 mbar.
