NB.
• For a correct calibration, the eccentric (7) should work on the entire servomotor travel range (20°÷130°): each servomotor
variation may correspond to a pressure variation.
• Do not take the regulator piston to the stop: the snap ring (4) determines the maximum travel.
• After adjusting, make sure manually that there are no jams between 20° and 130° and that the maximum and minimum pressures
correspond to that previously selected according to the nozzle chart.
• If the nozzle delivery flow is to be checked instead, carry out the measurements by sucking in oil from an auxiliary container.
5.2.4 COMBUSTION HEAD ADJUSTMENT
The combustion head moves in parallel with the eccentric (7, fig. 10) and the variable profile cam.
The head position can be seen on the cylinder (2, fig. 11).
The head control linkage has been factory adjusted for the maximum travel (the graded cylinder 2 goes from notch 0 to
notch 9) and is adapted for a maximum modulation range. For a different modulation range, calibrate the linkage again so
that the head travel works according to the diagram below.
Example for P 450 P/NA:
it is inferred from the diagram that for a 180 - 320 kg/h modulation corresponds notch 2.5 at 180 kg/h and notch 6.5 at 320 kg/h, with
a travel equal to 4 notches.
NOTE
to avoid jamming, never exceed the maximum and minimum opening positions corresponding to the cylinder (2, fig. 11), the
notch 9 and the servomotor at 130° and notch 0 with servomotor at 0° respectively.

For variations in the combustion head travel, proceed as follows:
The rod (1, fig. 11) that controls the driving stem (8) of the combustion head has only one slot; by moving the tie rod (9, fig. 11) to-
wards the slot exterior, the head travel is shortened up to 20 mm approx.
If a more substantial reduction is desired, proceed as follows:
with servomotor at 0°, undo the screws (5, fig. 11) and push ring (6, fig. 11) on the variable profile cam (7, fig. 11) in the direction
marked by the arrow. In this way, eccentricity is reduced and so is the travel.
After this adjustment, tighten the screws (5, fig. 11) well.
