Removing the system module

CAUTION:
static discharge.
Follow these steps to remove the system board module:
Power down the server and detach all power cords from the power supplies.
1.
Remove the access panel (on page 41).
2.
Remove the riser card (on page 49).
3.
Remove the OCP mezzanine card or the M.2 assembly (on page 51 or page 53).
4.
Remove the air baffle (on page 42).
5.
Remove the DIMM modules (on page 37).
6.
Remove the heat sinks (on page 32).
7.
Remove the processors (on page 34).
8.
Disconnect all of the cables from the system board.
9.
Remove the screws from the system board module.
10.
Lift the front of the system board and pull it away from the rear of the system. Make sure the I/O ports

clear the chassis before lifting the system board.
Remove the system board module.

When removing any component, wear a properly grounded static strap to prevent
