Unpacking the Printer
1. Remove each of the individual crate panels (one at a time) from the crate assembly using
the sequential procedure described below. Observe the following notes:
a. Remove the screws (14) securing panel #5 to the top of the crate. Remove the panel
b. Remove the screws (10) securing panel #4 to the top of the crate. Remove the panel.
Make sure that there is at least 254 cm (100 inches) of clearance around the base of
the shipping crate for removing shipping materials.
•
Each individual crate panel can be identified by the number printed on it.
•
Black dots on exterior of crate panels indicate wood screw locations.
•
Use a drill with a #2 square drive bit to remove wood screws.
•
After removing a side crate panel, move counter-clockwise to the next side
crate panel.
•
Use a ladder or scaffold to access the top of the crate.
