I/O Backplane
The SC742 is an ATX form factor chassis that can be used as a tower or mounted
as a 4U rackmount server. The I/O backplane provides seven motherboard
expansion slots, one COM ports, a parallel port, a video (monitor) port, two USB
ports, PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, one G-bit and one M-bit Ethernet ports.
Cooling System
The SC742S-450 chassis has an innovative cooling design that includes two 9-
cm hot-plug redundant system cooling fans and one heavy duty 12-cm exhaust
fan. The power supply includes both a primary and a secondary fan. All fans
operate continuously, except for the secondary power supply fan, which activates
only when the primary fails or the temperature becomes too high.
