10.10 Shutting Down the Implement

To shut down the implement, first bring the tractor
to a complete stop.
implement by reducing the engine speed before
disengaging the PTO. Wait for all motion to stop
before proceeding to drive or shut down the
tractor.
Park the tractor on a level surface, place the
transmission in park or neutral and apply the
parking brake, lower the attached implement to
the ground, shut down the engine, remove the
key, and wait for all motion to come to a complete
stop before exiting the tractor. OPS-U- 0016_B

11.DISCONNECTING THE MOWER FROM THE TRACTOR

Before disconnecting the mower, the PTO must be disengaged and blade rotation at a complete stop. Move
the mower to a level storage location and lower the center section and both wings to the ground. If the mower
will be stored with the wings in the raised position, install both wing transport lock braces. If the mower is not
resting securely on the ground, block the mower up securely before attempting to disconnect it from the tractor.
Use extreme care to keep feet and hands from under the mower and clear of any pinch points. OPS-R-0030 str
Always shut the Tractor completely down, place the transmission in park, and set the parking
brake before you or anyone else attempts to connect or disconnect the Implement and
Tractor hitches.
Never unhitch without using the Tongue Jack. The Tongue is very heavy. Attempting to lift
the Tongue without using the Tongue Jack could cause strains or other injury. Allowing the
tongue to fall suddenly and unexpectedly could result in crushing injury. Use the Tongue
Jack for lifting the Implement only. Overloading the Tongue Jack can cause failure with
possible serious bodily injury or even death.
When disconnecting the implement, the tractor
should be completely shut down. Relieve hydraulic
pressure by moving the control levers back and
forth several times.
Remove the jack from its storage location on the
wing and mount it to the hitch using the stub
provided. Lower the parking jack and raise the
implement until the tongue clevis is no longer
resting on the drawbar and is supported completely
by the jack. Also make sure the parking jack is
resting squarely on a hard level surface. Remove
the pin. OPS-R-0031_M str
