This manual is provided to give you the necessary operating and maintenance instructions for keeping your rotary cutter in top operating condition.
  • Page 43 INTRODUCTION The GX-130 general duty rotary Cutter is designed primarily for weeds, grass, and brush to 4” diameter. The side skirts are 13-5/8” deep. This additional room under the deck, along with high blade tip speeds allows for a better cut and better material flow.

    CHAIN GUARDS The GX-130 comes standard with single or double chain guards. Use the Parts Manual for chain guard locations on the rotary cutter. If your machine is equipped with single safety chains insert the first link of the 5 link chain into the first slot of the chain rail.

    Test the circuit. The lights should operate in unison with your tractor lights. If the turning lamps are opposite to the tractor, reverse the output to extension harness connections.     ASSEMBLY Assembly from Truck Shipment The following are instructions to set up a GX-130 cutter that has been delivered on a truck. When the cutter is received the hitch will be flipped back onto the cutter as shown on Figure AsmP-R-0571.

    A shipping strap was installed on the unit prior to leaving the factory (shown circled to the right). The shipping strap must be removed before the cutter can be used.     The recommended tractor HP for the GX-130 is 85 HP, minimum 45 HP. Operating the mower with a tractor that does not have enough power will produce a less desirable cut and may cause tractor engine damage.

    When mowing in reverse, operate the tractor and mower at a reduced ground speed to ensure tractor and mower control is maintained.
