Access control
The machine control can be locked to secure it against unauthorised or unintentional adjustment. The
access block has the following effect:
•
The parameters and their settings in the machine configuration menu, Expert menu and operation
sequence can only be viewed but not changed.
•
Welding procedure and welding current polarity cannot be changed.
The parameters for the access block are configured in the machine configuration menu > see 4.6 chapter.
Enabling the access block

Voltage reducing device
Only machine variants with the (VRD/AUS/RU) code are equipped with a voltage reduction device (VRD).
The VRD is used for increased safety, especially in hazardous environments such as shipbuilding, pipe
construction or mining.
A VRD is mandatory in some countries and required by many on-site safety instructions for power
sources.
The VRD > see 3 chapter signal light is illuminated when the voltage reduction device is operating without
fault and the output voltage is reduced to a value specified in the relevant standard (see technical data).
