nTier300 VTL Firmware
Note:
Firmware releases are listed in a reverse chronological order, with the
most recent release listed first. All package names are followed with the
date of release (YYYYMMDD format).
Firmware Support Process
The support model for Spectra Logic firmware is implemented as follows:
Current Shipping Release Any issues found in the current release of firmware are
resolved either with a patch or a new release, depending on the types of changes
needed. The current release is completely supported.
One Release Prior to the Current Release Support strongly recommends that customers
using the previous release of firmware upgrade to the current release. If the customer
is unwilling or unable to do so, Spectra Logic provides patches to the previous release.
Two Releases Prior to the Current Release Customers are asked to upgrade to the
current release. There must be an extremely compelling reason to avoid upgrading.
Patches to firmware that is two releases prior to the current release are extremely rare.
Updating Firmware
Currently, updates to the firmware on the Spectra nTier300 VTL must be performed by
SpectraGuard Support (see Contacting Spectra Logic on page 4).
