18. Loosely screw the lock nut (10) and stem
connector nut (9) onto the plug stem.
b) Form HT packing
NOTICE
!
Damage to the packing (form HT) through
the use of lubricant.
The form HT packing contains graphite.
Î Do not use any lubricant during the in-
stallation of this packing.
1. Proceed as described in 'Standard pack-
ing (PTFE)', steps 1 to 14. Do not use any
lubricant.
2. To compress the packing, tighten the
packing until reaching the metal stop us-
ing a suitable tool.
3. Remove the tool.
4. Proceed as described in 'Standard pack-
ing (PTFE)', steps 15 to 18.
5. Stroke the plug stem (5) up and down
around ten times to allow the packing to
settle.
c) ADSEAL packing
1. Proceed as described in 'Standard pack-
ing (PTFE)', steps 1 to 13.
2. Carefully slide the packing parts over the
plug stem into the packing chamber us-
ing a suitable tool. Observe the proper
sequence (see Fig. 9-6).
3. Slide the seals (15.2) over the plug stem.

Insert the wire of the red spacer ring
(15.1) into the groove of the retaining
ring.
Slide the retaining ring over the plug
stem.
4. Insert the red spacer ring (15.1) between
the threaded bushing (8) and retaining
ring. See Fig. 9-6.
5. Proceed as described in 'Standard pack-
ing (PTFE)', steps 15 to 18.

Replacing the seat and
plug
NOTICE
!
Risk of control valve damage due to incor-
rect servicing.
Î Seat and plug can only be replaced
when all the following conditions are
met:
− The valve does not have a balanced
plug.
− The valve does not have a bellows
seal.
− The standard, form HT or ADSEAL
packing is installed in the valve.
Î To replace seat and plug in other valve
versions, contact our after-sales service.
NOTICE
!
Risk of damage to the facing of the seat
and plug due to incorrect servicing.
Î Always replace both the seat and plug.
