press the TUNE + or TUNE - button to cycle between the screen brightness options: 'Low', 'Medium', 'High'
and short press the ENTER button to confirm your selection.
NOTE: The screen brightness will change according to the option displayed on the LCD display screen e.g.,
when 'Low' displays on the screen the LCD display screen will automatically display the dimmer (low light)
screen brightness.
7. Once the brightness has been set, you can choose how long the LCD display screen will remain illuminated
for the chosen screen brightness option. Short press the TUNE + or TUNE - button to cycle between the
'Backlight' menu options. Once 'Time Out' displays on the LCD display screen, short press the ENTER
button to confirm your selection.
8. Short press the TUNE + or TUNE - button to cycle between the time out options: 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90,
120, 180 seconds and Always On. Short press the ENTER button to confirm your selection.
9. Short press the MENU button (multiple times if required) to return to the current audio source.
NOTE: The LCD display screen will operate at your chosen screen brightness for the time out duration
selected, after which the LCD display screen will dim but will still be visible.
Adjusting the LCD Display Screen Contrast
You can adjust the contrast of the LCD display screen. Simply follow the steps below for how to adjust the
display contrast.
1. Enter the standby mode by following the instructions in section 'Power On-Off / Standby Mode' of the
instruction manual (page 10).
NOTE: Please ensure you are in standby mode BEFORE you follow the instructions below. If not, the
instructions below will not be valid.
2. Once in standby mode, long press the MENU button till 'Menu <System>' displays on LCD display screen.
3. Short press the ENTER button to access the 'System' menu.
4. Short press the TUNE + or TUNE - button to cycle through the 'System' menu options.
5. Once 'Contrast Set' displays on the LCD display screen, short press the ENTER button to confirm your selection.
6. Short press the TUNE + or TUNE - button to cycle between the display contrast options: 1 to 15. The lower
the number is, the darker the screen will be, the higher the number is, the brighter the screen will be.
Once you have reached the desired number, short press the ENTER button to confirm your selection.
7. Short press the MENU button (multiple times if required) to return to the current audio source.
Factory Reset
The factory reset function allows you to restore the Radio back to its default settings.
1. Enter the standby mode by following the instructions in section 'Power On-Off / Standby Mode' of the
instruction manual (page 10).
