Power Supply Connection

NOTICE
Destruction of the electronics
If several drive units are wired together, the summa-
tion of the activation and starting currents must be
observed. Vibrations in the circuit, excessive voltage
and voltage drops may form that may cause damage,
destruction or malfunction of the drive units.
Limit the speed of the voltage rise when the supply

voltage is applied, e.g. by using a soft-start circuit
or switching on the primary side of an electronically
controlled power supply unit.
NOTICE
Destruction of the electronics
If the power supply is incorrectly connected or the po-
larity is reversed, this can lead directly to the destruc-
tion of the motor electronics.
Connect the power supply exactly as specified.

Capacitive load currents of >300 A may flow temporarily if
the drive unit is not wired directly to the power supply but
connected to an existing supply grid via a switch. In this
case, a soft start function must be implemented.
This is possible either by the corresponding selection of
a power supply or as described in the following circuit
diagrams.
The principle circuit diagrams show the connections of
the product. Several BG motors can be switched together
as well.

ACHTUNG
Zerstörung der Elektronik
Bei gemeinsamer Verdrahtung mehrerer Antriebe ist die
Summierung von Einschalt- und Anlaufströmen zu be-
achten. Es können sich Schwingungen im Stromkreis,
Spannungsüberhöhungen und Spannungseinbrüche
ausbilden, die zu Schädigung, Zerstörung oder Fehl-
funktion der Antriebe führen können.
Begrenzen sie den Geschwindigkeit des Span-

nungsanstiegs bei Anlegen der Versorgungsspan-
nung, z.B. durch Verwendung einer Soft-Start
Schaltung oder primärseitiges Einschalten einer
elektronisch geregelten Stromversorgungseinheit.
ACHTUNG
Zerstörung der Elektronik
Bei Falschanschluss bzw. Verpolung der Spannungs-
versorgung kann dies unmittelbar zur Zerstörung der
Motorelektronik führen.
Schließen Sie die Spannungsversorgung genau

nach Vorgabe an.
Wird der Antrieb nicht direkt an die Spannungsversorgung
verdrahtet, sondern über einen Schalter an ein bestehen-
des Versorgungsnetz aufgeschaltet, so können kurzzeitig
kapazitive Ladeströme von >300 A fließen. In diesem Fall
muss eine Softstart-Funktion realisiert werden.
Das kann entweder durch entsprechende Wahl einer
Spannungsversorgung oder wie in nachfolgenden Schalt-
bildern beschrieben, erfolgen.
Die Prinzipschaltbilder zeigen die Anschlüsse des Produk-
tes. Es können auch mehrere BG-Motoren gemeinsam
geschaltet werden.
