21.5 Battery Charging Cycle
1. The battery is charged at unit power up. The first two minutes after boot there is a wait
period before charging begins.
2. In all charge cycles, battery is charge fully to 4.2V (4200mV).
3. Charging mA should be 100mA.
4. Maximum charge time is eight (8) hours. (In some low conditions, it can theoretically
take a battery eight (8) hours to fully charge.)
5. When the battery voltage drops below 4000mV, a charging cycle is triggered.
6. Again, battery is fully charged to 4.2V at a maximum of eight (8) hours.
NOTE: The controller will not charge the battery when it is outside. Its charging range is typically -10°C
to 35°C.

In the RCC, XL4, EXL10, EXL6, and EXL10, the program downloaded from Cscape is not battery backed.
The program is stored in flash memory RAM at the time of download. The battery plays no part in
program retention.
