3.1

Authorized use

The device (SRG) may only be used for transporting manhole rings n according to DIN 4034 Part 2
as well as shaft necks, in connection via the suspension eye on a carrier (excavator or crane with crane hook).
Wegen Absturzgefahr sind nicht erlaubt:
•
exceeding the permissible load capacity,
•
the presence of persons under the load or in the danger zone: Danger to life!
•
the transport of manhole rings/cones whose dimensions do not correspond to the technical data of the tongs
(e.g. wall thickness, ring diameter, socket shape) or the transport of other components,
•
the pulling of loads at an angle,
•
the tearing loose, pulling or dragging of loads,
•
jerky movements as well as load swaying,
•
uneven loading of the clamps,
•
loading of the clamps by diagonal pull.
•
The device is only designed for the use specified in this documentation.
•
Every other use is not authorized and is forbidden!
•
All relevant safety regulations, corresponding legal regulations, especially regulations of the
declaration of conformity, and additional local health and safety regulations must be observed.
Prior to every operation the user must ensure that:
•
The equipment is suited to the intended operation
•
the functioning and the working condition of the equipment is examined
•
the load is suitable to be handled.
Any doubts about instructions should be raised with the manufacturer prior to use.
ATTENTION: The use of this device is only permitted in proximity to the ground (→ chapter
"Safety at work" and "Explanation of basic concepts").
