Chapter 3:
CCM Overview
All modules installed in an OCM node communicate with the Common Control Module (CCM).
The CCM in turn communicates with the TMS network controller or OCM Controller and accepts
and stores downloaded software. The CCM also provides the multiplexer clocking. The CCM stores
all downloaded OCM software and configuration information, and controls the configuration on all
other modules in the node. The CCM module provides:
An LSI System Communications Manager (SCM) that controls all supervisory
communications to other modules and Status/Alarms information.
Self test on power-up.
A Maintenance Console port for use with a local terminal to validate status and perform local
diagnostics. (Refer to GDC 036R611-000.)
Control of diagnostics when commanded by the TMS Controller.
The Common Control Module with expanded memory (CCM-10) is used by the OCM-1000 and
OCM-2000, and can support future releases of both systems. Table 3-2 through Table 3-5 list the
technical characteristics and pinouts.
