5.2 Washer Characteris cs
Dexter Laundry commercial washing machines are designed to wash tex le ar cles in an indoor vended
environment by untrained users. Cleaning is accomplished through the agita on of the ar cles in water.
Chemicals (if used) also help to separate soiled areas from the tex les.
Dexter machines u lize high grade stainless-steel for the enclosure and drum. These surfaces limit the
growth of microbes and provide a durable and high-quality look. While properly anchored, standard
machines are capable of spinning the drum at speeds up to 100G. Similarly, the express machines are
capable of spinning the internal drum at speeds up to 200G. Drum rota on is produced by an AC
(Alterna ng Current) motor controlled by a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive).
