Key
The module's front panel key can be used to switch the laser on or off.
• When the instrument's user interface is used, the laser can be
NOTE
switched off any time using the module's front panel key.
• The module's front panel key is disabled when the instrument is
remote controlled or if it is locked.
• When the instrument is remote controlled and the [Local] soft key is
pressed, the front panel key is not re-enabled until the last remote
command is finished.
The built-in laser diode is active whenever the instrument is powered on,
therefore disabling the output is not sufficient to establish eye safe
conditions.
LED
The module's front panel LED is used to inform about the state of the
module:
