2.4 Rack Mounting Instructions
This section provides information on installing the chassis into a rack unit with the rails
provided. There are a variety of rack units on the market, which may mean that the assembly
procedure will differ slightly from the instructions provided. You should also refer to the
installation instructions that came with the rack unit you are using. Note: This rail will fit a
rack between 28" and 33.5" deep.
Overview of the Rack Rails
The package includes two rail assemblies. Each is specifically designed for the left or right
side of the chassis, and so marked. Each rail consists of two sections: a front section which
secures to the front post of the rack and a rear section which adjusts in length and secures
to the rear post of the rack.

Each rail assembly has a locking screw to adjust the length of the rail to fit the depth of your
rack.
