8-2. Toyota parking assist monitor
If the symptom is not resolved by the solution, have the vehicle
inspected by your Toyota dealer.
Symptom
The screen is difficult to
see
The image is blurry
The screen is mis-
aligned
Likely cause
 The vehicle is in a
dark area or it is night.
 The temperature
around the lens is
either high or low.
 The outside tempera-
ture is low.
 There are water drop-
lets on the camera.
 It is raining or humid.
 Foreign matter (mud
etc.) is stuck to the
camera.
 Sunlight or headlights
are shining directly
into the camera.
 The vehicle is under
fluorescent lights,
sodium lights, mer-
cury lights, etc.
Dirt or foreign matter,
such as water droplets,
snow, or mud, has stuck
to the camera lens.
The camera has
received a strong
impact.
Solution
Visually check your
vehicle's surroundings
while you are driving.
(Use the Toyota park-
ing assist monitor again
once the camera and
conditions have
improved.)
The procedure for
adjusting the picture
quality of the Toyota
parking assist monitor is
the same as the proce-
dure for adjusting the
multimedia screen.

Splash the camera with
a large amount of water
and then wipe the cam-
era lens clean with a
soft, damp cloth.
Operate the dedicated
camera cleaning
washer and clean the
camera lens. For
details, refer to the sep-
arate "OWNER'S MAN-
UAL".
Have the vehicle
inspected by your
Toyota dealer.
