6. Operation

6.1 Regulation of double regulating
and commissioning valve
A hydronic balance between the various risers
of the heating system according to VOB C/DIN
18380 has to be carried out. This way, all parts
of the system are supplied with heat according
to the design.
As for the Oventrop "Floorbox", the hydronic
balancing is carried out with the help of the
double regulating and commissioning valve
"Hycocon VTZ".
Presetting ca be determined by using the Oven-
trop software for pipework calculation. Setting
of the calculated value is carried out according
to the enclosed instructions of the double regu-
lating and commissioning valve.
When calculating the installation manually, a k
value of 6.6 m 3 /h (chart 7.1) has to be consid-
ered for the "Floorbox". The pressure loss at the
double regulating and commissioning valve
must also be included the calculations.
The differential pressure to be throttled at the
double regulating and commissioning valve
"Hycocon VTZ" has to be calculated. With the
known flow rate in the design point, the preset-
ting can be taken from chart 7.2.
