While aligning the power cord to
the left side groove of the Duplex
Unit, slide the Duplex Unit in un-
til it is connected to the printer.

Attach the interface cable to the
printer.

Plug the printer's power cord
back into the wall outlet, and then
turn on the power switch.

❒ If you use a Windows operating
system, you should set up the
Memory Unit with the printer
driver to make the printer rec-
ognize the installation. See the
d e s c r i p t i o n o f W i n d o w s
95/98/Me, Windows 2000 and
Windows NT 4.0 on p.61 "In-
stalling the Printer Driver and
Software".

❒ After installing the last option
that you want, print the config-
uration page to confirm the in-
stallation. If the new device is
listed in the column of configu-
ration options, then it has been
properly installed. For more in-
formation about printing the
configuration page, see "Print-
ing the Configuration Page" in the
Printer Reference on the CD-
ROM labeled "Operating In-
structions".

❒ If the Memory Unit is properly,
"Total Memory" will be the total
size of the standard Memory
Unit plus the expanded Memo-
ry Unit. The total values of
Memory Units are as shown be-
low.
