CLEANING INSIDE THE FUEL TANK
If necessary, drain the fuel inside the fuel tank completely.
Using a spray washer (Figure 85), wash out any deposits
or debris that have accumulated inside the fuel tank.

FUEL TANK INSPECTION
In addition to cleaning the fuel tank, inspect the following
components for wear:
„ Rubber Suspension — Look for signs of wear or
deformity due to contact with oil. Replace the rubber
suspension if necessary.
„ Fuel Hoses — Inspect nylon and rubber hoses for signs
of wear, deterioration, or hardening.
„ Fuel Tank Lining — Inspect the fuel tank lining for signs
of excessive amounts of oil or other foreign matter.

DRAINING THE ENGINE OIL
1. Run the engine until the engine coolant reaches a
temperature of 140°F (60°C). Turn the engine off.
2. Remove the oil dipstick from its holder.
3. Remove the oil drain plug (Figure 86).

4. Place the oil drain valve in the OPEN position
and allow the oil to drain into a suitable container
(Figure 86).
5. After the engine oil has been completely drained,
reinstall the oil drain plug and tighten securely.
6. Place the oil drain valve in the CLOSED position.
