8.1.5 Pulse ventilation
Time-limited intensive ventilation with
ventilation level III
Pulse ventilation can be called up in the
manual operating modes (manual, ECO
mode, supply air or ECO mode, exhaust air)
or using a simple control unit.
Pulse ventilation runs for a limited time (timer
Duration of ventilation level). The unit then
switches back to the last ventilation level
activated.
8.1.6 Intensive ventilation
Continuous operation – ventilation level II
Ventilation with increased volumetric air flow
to reduce peaks in pollution (in accordance
with DIN 1946-6).
8.1.7 Selecting ventilation level
The ventilation level is selected:
● automatically when operating with the Auto
Sensor or Auto Time automatic programme
or
● manually on a control unit in Manual
operation, ECO mode, supply air or
ECO mode, exhaust air operating mode.
If the ventilation unit is running in an automa-
tic programme and the ventilation level is
changed on a control unit, once the timer
Duration of ventilation level has elapsed, the
units switches back to the automatic pro-
gramme. The Off ventilation level also has
a time limit.
In a manual operating mode, the ventilation
unit runs continuously in the selected venti-
lation level until it is changed manually.
If the set humidity value limit is reached,
excess humidity protection automatically
switches to intensive ventilation.
8.2 Operating mode
The operating mode determines the funda-
mental way in which the ventilation unit works.
There is always an active operating mode.
It is selected using a control unit or operating
software.
Automatic operating modes – ventilation
levels
● Auto Time: Time-controlled automatic opera-
tion
● Auto Sensor: Sensor-controlled automatic
operation
Manual operating modes
● Manual operation
● ECO mode, supply air: can only be set if
Summer season is selected
● ECO mode, exhaust air: can only be set if
Summer season is selected
● Off (standby mode)
All ventilation levels run in continuous ope-
ration. Exception: Pulse ventilation runs for
a limited time.
Operating modes when operating with
simple control unit or EnOcean compo-
nent (wireless)
If the ventilation level is changed using a
simple control unit or EnOcean component, a
time limit applies (timer Duration of ventilation
level). The unit then returns to the ventilation
level last selected or saved/determined by the
automatic programme.
8.2.1 Off (unit standby)
If the Off operating mode is selected, the
ventilation unit switches into standby mode
(fans Off). Off appears on the display. On the
simple control unit, all LEDs are out.
If the switch-off function of the simple
i
control units (RLS 1 WR) is deactivat-
ed, the ventilation unit runs at least
in level I with ventilation for humidity
protection.
