Installing in the cylinder head may cause high readings due to the exhaust manifold heat. Make sure that the sender tip can get into the coolant flow. The sender must be a Dakota Digital 300F temp unit.

Setting the warning limits and sender setup: The SND terminal is used to enter and change the warning settings. You will need a wire connected to the SND terminal that can be momentarily grounded while you watch the gauge. The headlights should be off or the DIM terminal unhooked so that it does not interfere with the setup.
