Operating
Starting Premio 40 B /46 B (fig. B5/B7/B9)
Place mower on level ground, not ontohigh grass. Throttle lever B7 (1) to „Betrieb" (=running). Firmly press the primer on the
engine B5 (2) three times. Lift and hold safety bar B7 (3). Pull starter cord B9 (4) rapidly an return starter grip slowly. Drive on: lift
driving bar B7 (5). Drive off: Release driving bar B7 (5). To stop engine: Release safety bar B7 (3). Set speed: 1st gear B7 (6) =
slow (2 km/h). 2nd gear B7 (7) = fast (4 km/h). Starting of warm engine: Lift and hold safety bar B7 (3). Pull starter cord B9 (4)

hast run out, refill fuel. Press the primer three times.
ttention! Use the gear level only when the device is moving!
Starting Premio 46 B i (fig. B5/B8/B9)
On an even surface, whenever possible not in high grass. Throttle lever to „Betrieb" B8 (1). Firmly press the primer B5 (2) on the
engine three times. Raise and hold safety grip B8 (3). Turn ignition key B8 (4) until engine starts, then release key. Otherwise: Pull
starter handle B9 (4) return slowly by hand. Drive on: Lift drive handle B8 (6). Set speed: 1st gear B8 (a): 2,0 km/h. 2nd gear B8
(b): 4,0 km/h. Drive off: Release drive handle B8 (6). Engine stop: Release safety grip B8 (3). Press primer B5 (2) if the engine does
not start in cold weather. If the engine has failed because of a lack of fuel, refill fuel. Press primer (B5 2) three times.
ttention! Use the gear level only when the device is moving!
Mowing (fig. B10)
Turn Mower on lawn area already mown.
Emptying of grassbox (fig. B11)
Only when mower is stionary and rotating blade has come to complete standstill.
Box filling indicator: The flap drops down when grassbox is full. To ensure properfunctioning of the indicator it is important that the grilles
below are kept clean using a hand brush.

Maintenance

Disconnect spark plug cap and starter key (with electric-start-models) before proceeding!
Clean mower thoroughly after each mowing with cloth or brush (fig. W1/W2). Do not spray with water. Keep mower in a dry room.
Change oil only
While engine is warm and fuel tank empty.
Change oil after 5 working hours for the first time. fter every 25 working hours from then onwards and at the end of the mowing season.
More frequently if working under extreme and dusty conditions. Remove oil filling cap, tilt machine slowly to side and allow oil to drain from
the crankcase.
Cleaning of Spark Plug
Check and clean and regulary, as required (Briggs & Stratton 0,76 mm).
Cleaning of air filter
See the operating instructions of the motor manufacturer (enclosed).
Cleaning operations and blade change (fig. W1)
Tilt the mower towards rear for cleaning operations and blade change: Detach spark plug cable. Fold upper part of handle forwards
(avoid damage to Bowden cables).
Change of Cutter blades ( bb. W3)
• Change of blades only be carried out by an approved service station.
• Gloves should be worn at all times when working on the blade. Remove ignition key and spark plug lead when working on the blade.
• Damaged blades should always be replaced in pairs to ensure even balance.
Information for Service Centre, blade retaining screw to be tightened to:
djusting the clutch Bowden cable - Premio 40/46 B /46 B i (fig. W4)
Lift the drive bar (1) approx. 2 cm and hold. Loosen counternut (2) and turn adjusting screw (3) anticlockwise until the drive wheels block
when the mower is pulled backwards. Tighten counternut (2) firmly.
Winter storage
• Drain fuel tank.
• Drain carburettor: therefore start engine, keep it runninug until it automaticalli switches off.
• Clean the whole machine thoroughly
• Change oil, 4-stroke engine.
• Prepare engine for winter storage as follows:
- Remove spark plug. Poor one spoon full of engine oil into spark plug hole. Pull starter rope slowly to distribute oil evenly inside
cylinder.
- Replace spark plug but do not connect spark plug lead.
- Pull starter rope until resistance is felt (valves are now closed)
• Store mower in a cool and dry place. We recommend: Have your mower thoroughly checked once a year by approved Service gent.
Charging the battery - Premio 46 B i
The motor has a built-in charging unit. Therefore, the battery is constantly recharged, as in an automobile.
Separate charging unit (accessory) - Premio 46 B i
The Premio 46 B i is equipped with a charging unit (see page 2, no. 8). We recommend the quick charging unit SLG-P, Order no.
4617 070 (charging time: approx. 4 hrs.) as a useful accessory (e.g. before storing for winter).
Disposal
Batteries contain lead and must be disposed of in the correct manner. Have defective batteries disposed of by
a specialist workshop. Batteries must be removed from the unit before scrapping (disposal).
/F 17 mm = 38-42 Nm / /F 13 mm = 16-20 Nm
