Maintenance

General

Caution! Rotating blades
Before all maintenance and cleaning tasks:
Remove the sparking plug lead.
Take care not to grab running cutters.
For safety reasons, replace any worn or damaged parts.
When replacing, follow the instructions for installation
Check all the visible fastening bolts and nuts regularly to be
sure they are snug and tighten them.
Only use spare parts made by WOLF; otherwise you do not
have a guarantee that your mower meets safety regulations.
Cleaning
Always clean the lawnmower after each use with a handbrush.
Turn the lawn mower on its side (with the air filter facing up).
Cleaning the cutting system using a water hose (48 BA)
A water hose connector is located in front of the right rear wheel
on the cutting housing

1. Set the mower to the lowest cutting height.
2. Connect the water hose to the cutting housing and open the
faucet.
3. Start rotating the knife. After approx. 2 min. the inside of the
cutting housing will have cleaned itself.
4. Switch the motor off again.
5. Close the faucet and remove the hose.
6. Start rotating the cutting system for a few seconds to drain the
water.
Cleaning the grassbox
The ventilation grid in the upper part of the grassbox can be
easily unlatched and removed for cleaning.
Sharpening and changing blade

Before all maintenance and cleaning tasks:
Remove the sparking plug lead.
Take care not to grab running cutters.

Attention!
An unbalance can develop after regrinding of the blade.
Always regrind the blades in a specialist workshop, be-
cause an unbalance check should be undertaken accor-
ding to the safety regulations.
Turn the lawn mower on its side (with the air filter facing up).
Always change blades in a specialist workshop. A torque
spanner is mandatorily required.
Fastening torque of the screws: 30-40 N-m.

Tension of the clutch Bowden cable
The tension of the clutch Bowden cable must be checked on
a regular basis.
Access to the tensioning pieces used to tighten the Bowden
cable: on the left at the level of the center piece.
For easier access to the adjusting mechanisms, pull back the
spiral tube first.
After making the adjustments, put the spiral tube back in its
place.

Adjustments:
L1 - L0 = 4-5 mm
L0 = length of the spring without tension
L1 = length of the spring under tension
When the switch is released, the Bowden cable must not
exert any force on the spring.
Change oil only
While engine is warm and fuel tank empty.
Change oil after the first 5 working hours. There after change
engine oil every 25 working hours and at the end of the mo-
wing season. Change engine oil more frequently if working un-
der extreme and dusty conditions.
1. Remove oil filler cap.
2. Tilt machine slowly to side and allow oil to drain from the
crankcase through the filler.
3. Oil Fill.
Cleaning of Spark Plug
Check and clean regularly
Reset plug gap as required (0,76 mm).
Storage in winter
Drain the fuel tank.
Drain the carburettor.
This can be done by starting the engine and allowing it to
run until it stops of its own accord.
Clean the mower thoroughly.
Change the oil.
Preserve the engine:
Unscrew the sparking plug and pour one dessert spoon of
engine oil into the sparking plug opening
Pull the starting cord slowly all the way (oil distribution in the
cylinder)
Screw the sparking plug back in position (do not replace the
sparking plug lead)
Store the mower in a cool and dry location.
The mower should be checked by a WOLF customer service
workshop in the autumn.
