NOTE
Please refer to 3 - 3E and use the appropriate PPE when
carrying out any of the actions or procedures contained within
this section.
7.1
INTERNAL RTC BLUETOOTH CLOCK
MODULE
The appliance is supplied with a Bluetooth module (BLE) that
enables the heating ON/OFF time schedules to be managed via
the Easi-Connect app (available as a download from the App
Store or Google Play – see below QR code); in addition there is
a switch (SW) that allows the RTC clock to be bypassed thereby
enabling a heating request to be generated. NOTE: enabling
the auxiliary switch (SW) will allow the boiler to run in heating
mode continuously until the switch is disabled.
If external controls are to be added to the system, they must
be connected to the appliance as follows:
• Voltage-free room thermostat with RTC clock activated: remove
the black link-wire from terminal block M4 and connect the two
wires (C & NO) from the room thermostat (see also 7.3).
• Voltage-free programmable room thermostat, RTC clock de-
activated: remove the black link-wire from terminal block M4
and connect the two wires (C & NO) from the programmable
room thermostat; and enable the auxiliary switch (SW).
• BeSMART or Hi-Comfort Opentherm device: refer to fig. 17.
• Modbus 485 (Smart-Key): remove the plug from socket CE4
located on the appliance underside (fig. 18) and insert the
Smart-Key into the socket and follow the instructions provided
with the Smart-Key.
• Modbus 485 (other device): contact Vokèra Technical Helpline
for detailed advice.
NOTE
• Refer to the adjacent diagrams for further details.
• Should your external control require a 230V power supply, it
must be taken from the same isolator that supplies power to
the boiler.
• Ensure the necessary parameter/s for external sensor/
Opentherm/Modbus 485 have been set correctly if one or
more of these devices has been installed – see pages 30 &
31, Sections 5.32 & 5.33.
• For advice on controls that are not featured here, please
contact Vokèra technical on 0844 391 0999.
7.1.1 EXTERNAL WIRING LIMITATIONS
Low voltage and High voltage cables must be run separately.
Any external wiring must remain within the limits as detailed:
room thermostat = 30-metres maximum.
7.1.2 OUTSIDE SENSOR
The outside sensor can be connected directly on the PCB at
plug X11 (see "Fig. 16").
7.2

OTHER DEVICES

Contact the controls manufacturer and/or Vokèra technical
department should you require more specific information on
the suitability of a particular control.
IMPORTANT
• The boiler must always be supplied with a permanent 230V
electrical supply.
• The room thermostat connection (TA) is low voltage (24 Vdc)
• Do not connect any controls or auxiliary equipment to the
low-voltage terminal strip, other than that approved/supplied
by Vokèra Ltd.
7.3
RTC BLEUTOOTH CLOCK MODULE
• The RTC module must be configured and activated using a
compatible smart phone or tablet, via the Easi-Connect app
(see page xx and below QR code for further details).
• Once the RTC module has been paired and configured with
the Easi-Connect app, the app will run in the background in
the mode of operation last used/activated
• To change the mode of operation, or amend the heating
schedule/program, it's necessary to be within 3-metres of
the appliance, using the relevant smart device that's been
paired with the RTC module.
