0 = Disabled
1 = Closed Switch Alarm triggering
2 = Open Switch Alarm triggering
Item 768 is Digital Input Alarm
0 = Inactive (Not tripped)
1 = Active (Alarm tripped)

2.8.1.4 Operations:

Configure the desired Digital Input Trigger Selection Item to code '1' or '2' to enable the associated
Digital Input (1-3) – see Item 762 – 764. When the appropriate signal level is then applied (seen) at the
input terminal of a Digital Input (1-3) – the corresponding 'Alarm' Item will then set to 'Active' – see Items
766 – 768. Note: If User clears a Digital Alarm Item (766-768) and its input signal remains in the
'Triggering' state – the Alarm Item will again set (Alarm will once again set if Alarm is cleared and
condition remains).

2.8.2 Digital Outputs

This section describes the pulse outputs from ERX350

The Digital Outputs are located at the TB5 terminal block connector on the ERX350 IO Board.
Note:
Note: Digital outputs should be understood to be solid state (transistor) switches that do not
produce any voltage. The external device to which they are connected must provide wetting voltage
with current limiting, and be able to respond to the contact closures.
ERX350 provides four pulse outputs, three (channel C) normally-open Form A type, and one (channel D)
normally closed Form B type. The pulse outputs are typically used for connection to an AMR (Automatic
Meter Reader) device.
These outputs are electronic switches that operate like an isolated bidirectional switch. Channels A, B,
and C (normally open type) can be configured as corrected volume or uncorrected volume. Channel C can
alternatively be configured as a (normally open) alarm output. Channel D (normally-closed type) is only
for alarm output use. All the pulse outputs of the ERX350, including the alarm pulse output, use opto-
