Scope of supply

 Pump DULCO Trans 50/1200 PP
 PVC-hose complete with hose connection
 Hand nozzle PP fitted to the PVC-hose
 Barrel connector PP - G 2 A

Intended use

The barrel pumps are used for quick and save liquid transfer or emptying
of tanks, barrels and containers. According to the design, they can pump
liquids of all kinds.
The commutator motors are used to drive barrel pumps in non-hazardous
areas and for inflammable liquids.
Hand nozzles allow for convenient filling of liquids.
Barrel pumps, motors and hand nozzles are not made for unprotected
outdoor applications and must not be exposed to the weather.
The use of hand nozzle as used in filling stations is not allowed (TRBF40).
The barrel pumps, motors and hand nozzles are intended for commercial
use only.

Foreseeable misuse

Pump and accessory material must always be suitable for the product to
be transferred (see resistance chart).
Observe the operating instructions when changing the liquid. Take possible
chemical reactions and the resulting health hazards and material damage
into account.
Only operate the motors in conjunction with the pumps in the correspon-
ding liquids. Non-observance may result in damage to the pump and the
motor and operator injury.
The barrel pumps and the accessories are not intended to be used by
uninstructed persons or by persons with limited physical, sensory or intel-
lectual capabilities, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for
their safety or receive instructions from that person on how the device is to
be used.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
device.

 In case of emergency remove the plug
 The motor is not explosion-proof.
 Never leave the pump unattended.
 Do not operate the pump in hazardous locations.
 Do not use the pump for transferring flammable liquids.
 Only use the pump for its intended purpose.
 The pump should be used in vertical position only.
 Install the pump in a way which ensures that it cannot
fall into the container.
 Regularly check the pump and the hose to ensure safe
operation.
 Regularly check the motor according to the relevant national
safety instructions and/or rules for prevention of accidents
(in F.R.of Germany these are e.g. BGV A3).
 Make sure that the motor will not start unintentionally.
 The pump should not be immersed deeper into the liquid
than the outlet connection.
 The pump should only be left standing in the liquid
as long as in operation.
 Only use the pump up to max. 50°C liquid temperature.
 Surrounding temperature: 0°C up to max. +40°C
 Comply with all relevant safety instructions.
Wear appropriate protective clothing.
(face shield, protective gloves, etc.)
 Keep the air escaping and the displacement in mind when
immersing the pump in the liquid. Lower the pump carefully.
 Install appropriate splash guards for open barrels or containers.
 Remove spilled liquid from the floor and dispose of it in an
environmentally sound manner.
 Never operate the pump dry.
 Do not expose the pump to the weather.
 Clean the pump after each operation.
 Never store the pump in areas in which corrosive vapours exist.
