Installing and Connecting the External AC-Input Power Supply

After you have installed an external power shelf in the equipment rack, you can
install the external power supplies in the chassis. If you have not installed the
external power shelf, see the
on page 2-27.
To install an external power supply, follow these steps:
Make sure that the external power supply you are installing is not plugged in to a
power outlet.
Loosen the screws on the attachment plates on the upper left and right corners of
the external power supply so you can slide the attachment plates down. (See
Figure 2-12.)

Grasp the external power supply handle with one hand. Place your other hand
underneath to support the bottom of the external power supply. (See
"Rack-Mounting the External Power Shelf" section
