Assembly & Mounting Instructions

General Information:

- Read instructions through carefully before
beginning assembly.
- Identify each component from material list.
- When assembling components, place on a
non-abrasive surface to avoid scratches.
- Do not use excessive force when assembling
components.

  • Page 1 Cottage Picket Gate Assembly & Mounting Instructions General Information: - Read instructions through carefully before beginning assembly. - Identify each component from material list. - When assembling components, place on a non-abrasive surface to avoid scratches. - Do not use excessive force when assembling components.
  • Page 2 Lay out one of the posts (part 1) and insert the bottom rail (part 3) into the hole closest to the end of the post. Make sure the holes in the rail are facing towards the second hole in the post. Insert the top rail (part 2) into the second hole in the post.
  • Page 3 Using two screws, fasten the opposite end of the top rail to the post as shown in step 4. Center the gate latch (part 6) at the end of the top rail, as close to outside edge of the post as you can. Fasten the latch to the post using the screws provided in the latch kit.
  • Page 4 Place the remaining half of the hinge against the inside wall of the arbor post. Make sure the distance measured between the hinges on the gate is equal to the distance between the hinges on the arbor post. Attach the hinge to the post, as in step 12. Lift the completed gate and line up the hinges.
