Lifting of a manhole

Open all the claws.
Fit suspension lug in the load hook of the lifting device (e.g.
crane).
It must be ensured that the individual tie rods are not twisted
and that they can be easily pulled through the jaws.
Position claws equally onto the manhole (holdfast application
is situated inside the manhole) so that the tie rods are equally
loaded. The suspension lug must be positioned above the
centre of gravity!
Ensure that the tie rods are not twisted and that they can be
easily pulled through the jaws.
Lead the device (SRG-UNI) only at the handles of the claws.
Unlock all the holdfast applications (1) and rotate downwards: the angle levers (5) are rotated downwards by means of
the springs.
Both clamping jaws (6 and 7) must have contact with the complete surface of the manhole (Fig. 2). Lift manhole by
approx. 10 cm.
Do not load the jaws by pulling to one side and do
not drag jaws along the ground (Fig. 4). Distortion
and danger of the releasing the load!
Do not swing the load and do not allow people to
remain underneath load: Danger of releasing the
load!
After controlling the tight and safe fit of the jaws
onto the manhole (Fig. 1) the manhole should be
transported closed to the ground, otherwise there is
a danger of the load being released!
After setting down of the manhole and the releasing of the tie rods, block all holdfast applications. Now the claws can be
lifted by means of a lifting device (e.g. crane).
(SRG-uni)
The device
can now be lifted with the lifting device and transported carefully to the place of destination.

Transport of cones

The adjustment and the control for the transport of cones are carried out the same way as with the manholes.
Furthermore, however, the following must be respected:
The transport of symmetrical cones is carried out as follows:
Equally position jaws onto the manhole.
When the jaws are safely positioned onto the cone, slowly lift cone.
As far as asymmetrical cones are concerned it is preferably worked with 2 claws (respect carrying capacity!):
Place one claw at the vertical side and the other one symmetrically opposite on the sloping face of the cone. Now the cone
can be carefully lifted
