DAILY MAINTENANCE
To enable you to use the Device Expansion Unit in the best status, do the checks and
maintenance described below routinely. If the occurrence of an error is suspected, contact
your sales agent without any manipulations at will.
Check of Status Lamps
After turning on the power unit of the Device Expansion Unit, check the displays of the
lamps on the front of the Device Expansion Unit and those for the hard disks installed in
the disk bay before turning off the power unit. See the section "Lamp Indications" for the
functions and displays of the lamps. If the display indicating the occurrence of an error in
the Device Expansion Unit appears, contact your sales agent.
Cleaning
Clean the Device Expansion Unit on a regular basis to keep the chassis in a good shape.
Observe the following instructions to use the Device Expansion Unit safely.
Failure to follow these instructions may result in death or serious personal injury.
See the description on pages vi through xvii for details.
Do not disassemble, repair, or alter the Device Expansion Unit.
Disconnect the power plug before working with the Device Expansion Unit.
