LAMP INDICATIONS

The following describes the indications of the LEDs installed on the Device Expansion Unit
and their meanings.
If the Device Expansion Unit does not operate as expected or does not operate at all, first
check the indications of the LEDs.
LED1
LED1 turns green when the power unit in the Device Expansion Unit is turned on.
After connecting the Device Expansion Unit to NEC Express Servers through SAS cables,
set the DC power switch on the rear face of the Device Expansion Unit to ON and turn on
the powers of the NEC Express Servers.
NOTE:
LED status
Lighting in green
Lighting in umber
Lighting in red
If the power cord is connected to a power controller
such as an uninterruptible power unit (UPS), confirm
that the power of the power controller is turned on.
Make sure that the SAS cable is connected to the
NEC Express server. (See page 38.)
Before the power of the Device Expansion Unit can
be turned off, the powers of the NEC Express
Servers connected with the Device Expansion Unit
must be turned off.
Description
Operates normally.
An error is detected in
the unit fan.
An error is detected in
power supply 1.
Action
Unit fan supply 1 is failed. Turn off the
power of the Device Expansion Unit
immediately and disconnect the power
plug. Then contact your maintenance
service company.
Power supply 1 is failed. Turn off the power
of the Device Expansion Unit immediately
and disconnect the power plug. Then
contact your maintenance service
company.
