3.
Set the Earth Lift switch to the same position
as it was set on the old mainframe.
This switch is located on the rear panel (to the
right of the IEC connector). This is normally
set to the DOWN (
unless a +ve ground battery system is used,
or it is necessary to avoid a ground-loop
problem; see Section "5.4 Avoiding Ground
Loop Problems" (page 58).
4.
Set the Mode DIP switches to the same
position as they were on the old mainframe.
These switches are located on the rear panel
(to the left of SLOT 4 Wago connectors).
Refer to Section "3.2 Rear Panel Indicators
and Controls" (page 25) for details.
5.
Fit the new mainframe to the rack in the same position that was occupied by the old mainframe; see
Section "8.9 Installing a Mainframe into the Rack" (page 106).
6.
Power the mainframe on; see Section "8.5 Powering the Mainframe On" (page 103).
7.
Re-fit the front panel as described in Section "8.6 Powering the Mainframe On" (page 104).
8.
Load the old iPAM400 configuration into the new iPAM400, if not already done.
See Section "8.14 Loading Configuration into the iPAM400" (page 114).
