Installation guidelines for modules with Industrial Ethernet/ PROFINET interfaces
Ensure that all devices are connected to the SELV/PELV power supply (or equivalent). Only
then are you permitted to operate the modules with Industrial Ethernet/ PROFINET interfaces
in LAN networks (Local Area Networks).
A data transfer point that guarantees this degree of safety (SELV/PELV) is prescribed for
connection to the WAN (Wide Area Network).
