Establishing a Modem Connection

Note:

For Modem (MDM-1000A) Operation

1. From the TAS-2000 Control Panel window select "Configure Serial". The
window below displays.
2. Select "Modem".
3. Type the telephone number that the TAS-2000 Lobby Panel is using.
4. Verify that the COM port is set properly and the correct baud rate is
selected.
5. Click OK to continue.
Note:
6. Verify the Lobby Panel ID by checking the SW2 DIP switch settings on
the main board in the lobby panel. Refer to the TAS-2000 Series
Installation and Operation Manual for the DIP switch settings.
7. Note of the panel ID and select the same lobby-ID in the TAS2000
software.
For Direct connections, go to Establishing a Direct Connection
on page 7.
The panel ID in the TAS2000 software must be set correctly in
order to Upload or Download data.
