4 Run:
/usr/share/centrifydc/bin/adbindproxy.pl
and accept all the default responses.
5 In the /etc/init.d/centrifydc-samba file:
a Comment out all start winbindd and cond_restart
winbindd lines (three lines total).
b Comment out all start adbindd and cond_restart adbindd
lines (three lines total).
These steps work around a bug in centrifydc-samba with GID
resolution and are not expected to be needed in future versions.
6 In /etc/samba/smb.conf:
a Remove the [homes] share from the /etc/samba/smb.conf
file.
b Enable core files by commenting out the enable core files
directive:
# enable core files = false
c Add the following to suppress the editing of permissions via the
ACL interface on CIFS clients:
nt acl support = no
d Add the following:
server string = Quantum Lattus A10
Note: The customer might have a more meaningful value
here for their environment
e Add any desired additional shares. (See the existing [samba-
test] share for an example.)
f For a customer deployment, remove the [samba-test] share
7 Run:
# service centrifydc-samba restart
