4 Create the Lattus DSS policy. The field values should come from the
Lattus Sizing Tool provided by Quantum Pre-Sales, or obtained from
the customer.
For example:
a On the General Settings tab, specify the following:
i) Name: dss_pol_20_4
ii) Spread width: 20
iii) Storage Safety (strategy): 4
b On the Advanced Settings tab, specify the following:
i) Safety Strategy: Always set to RepairSpread and Dynamic
Safety.
ii) Maximum Superblock Size: The Superblock size should be
set to 64MiB (due to the 12-TB limit), but if smaller files are
used, a smaller superblock should be chosen for this name
space. If you need to ingest files over 4 TB, set the Superblock
size to 256MiB.
iii) Force dispersion over datacenters: Always select Yes.
