1 Description
1.1 Intended use
This product is to be exclusively used for orthotic fitting of the shoulder. It is intended for contact
with intact skin only.
1.2 Indications
Shoulder pain and dysfunction including subluxation due to neurological conditions, such as:
• Stroke, Hemiplegia
• Brachialis plexus injuries
• Peripheral nerve damage in the area of the cervical spine and shoulder
The indication must be confirmed by a physician.
1.3 Contraindications
1.3.1 Relative Contraindications
In case of the following symptoms (at the shoulder/arm) the application of such an aid is only to
be indicated after consulting a physician.
• Skin diseases and injuries to the body parts to which the orthosis is to be fitted, especially in
case of inflammatory symptoms. This applies also to prominent scars featuring swelling, red-
ness and overheating.
• Lymph flow disorders – also unclear soft tissue swelling.
• Sensitivity loss
1.4 General Safety Instructions
INFORMATION
The patient is to be instructed in the proper use/care of the product.
The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out by trained, qualified personnel
only. The daily duration of use and period of application are dependent on medical indication
by the physician
