The Savant Traditional Remotes (RTR-1000/RTR-100C or RTR-2000/RTR-200C) Quick Reference Guide
provides information necessary to set up and operate the Savant Traditional Remotes. The RTR-1000/RTR-
100C has Savant's on-screen display (OSD) application, TrueCommand. The RTR-2000/RTR-200C does
not have the TrueCommand application. The RTR-100C and RTR-200C are traditional remotes with custom
buttons.

Battery Installation

To install batteries in the remote (RTR-1000 or RTR-2000), do the following.
1.
Locate the battery cover on the underside of the remote.
2.
Press and slide the cover down to unlatch the cover.
3.
Replace the two AA batteries.
4.
Position the cover and slide up to secure the battery latch.

Remote Programmable Backlight Timer

To set the programmable backlight timer (RTR-1000 or RTR-2000), do the following.
1.
Hold down
rec
and
(RTR-1000) or rec and Prev (RTR-2000) buttons for five seconds. The backlight
on the numbered keys will start flashing.
2.
Hold down one of the buttons (0 – 9) to stop the backlight from flashing and to configure the backlight
from 0 to 9 seconds.
For example, when you hold button 5 until the backlight stops flashing, you also configure the backlight
for 5 seconds.
3.
To configure a timeout time higher than 9 seconds, hold down one of the following buttons:
button A = 14 seconds
button > = 18 seconds
button B = 28 seconds
button C = 55 seconds

  • Page 2 Binding Remote to RF Receiver It is important to ensure that the Savant remotes are properly bound to the RF Receiver. The RF Receiver can be bound to several remotes. To establish a valid connection, the RF Receiver must be plugged into a USB Additional Documentation port and the Savant remote must have properly charged batteries.
