Free text entered here will appear in the final report with the observations. After
entering your comments press the Survey Folder key to continue.
7 An on-screen prompt will appear saying Ready for Survey and it will
inform you to press the Record key when you want to begin. Press OK and
t his box will disappear.
8 You will now have a live picture with some information showing on-screen
above the time and date.

Start Recording

9 Start your recording by pressing the Record key. A red recording dot will
appear in the bottom right corner of the screen which indicates your survey
has begun.

Adding a New Observation

10 When you come to a point where you need to add a new observation press
the Survey Folder key which will automatically pause the recording. Now
you can either enter the survey code if you know it (ie: jdl = joint displaced
large) or use the Down Arrow key to select Survey Code Lookup which
will give you a selection of folders to explore, then highlight the relevant
one and press OK. Once you have entered your survey code you will have
either an option to enter clock references or %'s along with general remarks
you may wish to add. Fill in these options and then either press OK to store
with no photo or press the Snapshot key to store with a photo.
11 You are now ready to continue your survey. The system will automatically
resume recording and after a couple of seconds the observational text will
disappear from the live picture.
NOTE! If you move the camera before auto recording resumes you
may notice a slight jump in the video playback!
12 Repeat steps 10 and 11 each time you wish to capture a new observation.

Review Survey

13 At any time you can review your survey. Press the Survey Folder key and
select Review Survey. This will show you each observation you have
entered with the distance displayed along the captured image.
